Maureen, if you had one place/time to recommend to see humpbacks, especially breaching, etc., where/when would that be?

Monterey Bay for sure. This whole week they are going crazy & close to shore for those who don't like boats. This is the best time of year to see them in large numbers.

No, I left that to the fisherman. He was nice enough to let me take a few shots. Then he grabbed the shark by the tail and moved it into enough water that allowed it to swim off. Oddly, the swimmers nearby had no concerns.
