do you mean the crop...yeah, I shot it vertical...and then created the rest of the backdrop to go wide...and I am not sold on that...I think I liked it better cropped vertical.

I have not opened this one yet...I had some of this years ago and remember it being pretty good...it will be a while until I open this though...gotta find the right reason to open a $250 bottle of scotch.

Never tried it myself, but at $300/bottle Canadian likely won't be tasting this anytime soon.

Great idea reminded me to have a glass of my Bacardi in honor of all those in Puerto Rico today. Praying for their safety. I filled this bottle there myself on July 25th. Quite yummy.

Beautiful. I love how the light falls on the wings. It also looks like focusing isn't an issue either...super sharp!

been fiddling with this image tonight...traditional LE since the a9 does not have apps...was nice to get out and shoot them this way again, I think I will get back into it again. For something that was so integral in my style for a long time, the last year has not seen as much of it...gonna fix that.

Talk about 3D pop and sharpness. Very nice David! The lens is now on my immediate radar.

Thanks Gene.
Actually, I didn't do well with focus here, but this was an extreme crop from super 35mm mode and I used Focus Magic to make it look sharp (great plugin btw). Regardless, I did like how it turned out for Flickr resolution anyway. :)

Travis, I enjoy using ND filters. It slows me down for sure. Really nice tones in your image and the stumps in the foreground anchor the shot. I like how there are groups of 3 items of interest: foreground stumps, middle ground on the left, and then the eye moves to the pillar in the background with the subtle color.

Minimal processing on this one due to flat light. I just wanted to show you guys the cable car support that is used to transport people to the top of Stone Mountain. Very nice park down below that I didn't get to explore. Next time.

3 shot vertical pano of a cool building in the Lennox Square district north of Atlanta. This was a bit later in the blue hour captured with the Loxia 85. It looks like I don't need a tilt-shift lens afterall (maybe). By the way, the tilt lock feature on my FLM ballhead has worked out well for scenarios like this.
