Beware the Reaper!

A juvenile Pike struggle's to free itself from the vice like grip of this magnificent Heron. The outcome
was inevitable after a frantic but futile battle to escape. The Heron went on to catch yet another fish
of the same size within an hour of patient waiting.

Its was quite exciting, but sad to witness as the same Heron returned to the same spot the following day and devoured a vole.
