Went to the local wildlife area today with my grandson. Only had fair luck. Here's a shot of a White Tailed Kite and a dragonfly my grandson shot.

That second one (dragonfly?) is amazing gene

went to a car show today...the 6 year old was not happy that she could not sit in all of them...and then without asking, one of the owners let her sit in his Triumph TR6, she was a happy kid...

The 50Art acted up a few times on the a9, a quick remount of the lens always cured it, but it was a bit annoying...

The filter is quite thick, one piece on the lens, one on the filter, then the filter itself, so it's like a triple stacked filter. Due to that, 35mm and wider may vignette.

That said, if I knew better, going up a size with a step down would have worked better, but is have to run 72mm filters.... No perfect solution.

All my filters are 77mm. It's the largest thread size I have (Batis 18).
For the rest (72, 67) I use step rings. Works like a charm.

Only problem: If I ever get an 82mm lens (24-70 GM), then I'll have to redo all my filters.

It turns out that the lens is so sharp that it's against the law of logic to return it, so looks like I'm being forced to keep it.

Pretty sure it is the sharpest zoom lens I've ever owned.

I probably will get the 24-70gm, but not for landscapes, so I'm safe.

Hit up the tall ships festival in Dana Point yesterday.

Both shot with the FE 24-70/4. Not the sharpest lens out there and one I am considering finally selling. But that range is something that's nice to have in a zoom for times like yesterday, when I did not want to carry too much gear and kept it simple.

Stoked on the new image size rules coming with the next version of AMASS! Way to be the squeaky wheel Eddie!! Glad your thread was resurrected.....Pekka got right after it!

Haha, yes, that was my verdict.

I don't like the size, never will, but the ability to shoot in that range is just too cool. So, it's a keeper.

Right now I'm deciding between getting an a6500 or a CV15, but leaning a6500. The idea of putting a dedicated camera on the 100-400mm is very appealing. I wish I could afford an a9 for it (for the AF system), but figure the a6500 is a great little poor-man's a9.
