Godox and Fuji

So, trying to get the IR[Ish] AF beam to work with the X1T-F on my X-PRO2. Some success in helping the camera's AF work, shooting into a very darkly lit black wall, the camera could not lock on but once I attached the X1T-F it would fire it's AF grid and BINGO, AF lock. Not happening all the time so I think it has to be dark enough for it to work.

Anybody here got more input on this?

I don't have the X1T-F, but just got the V860II-F flash and you need to enable the AF to on in the custom settings, and it seems to need reset each time the unit is powered off. It only works when the light is low, but does seem effective (very similar to how it works on the Canon / Nikon flashes).

OK, I found the reset thing also, every time it turns off. We'll try from standby and wake next.

Used the TT350 w/the X-T2 for a wedding recently and the weight saving was great compared to full sized flashes.

I haven't made my way thru all of the photos but next time I might purchase the bigger brother(TT685) for faster recycling time.

After trying the i40 and the i60 Nissin flashes I found the 40 barely suitable. Going to skip the TT350

For wedding work(church and venue) the TT350 is not the most ideal option speaking from my own experience. I will go with the bigger brother next time to work faster. The TT350 is best suited for bounce flash in a small home not a large venue.

upgraded firmware for my v860iiS , so great now it works with XT2 ....
The tt350 is good for what I bought it for ,, personal use with friends and family/when i'm trying to stay light but might be in some low light / casual photos ... but yeah power out put for more than that isn't that great.

However the v860iiS , turn out ..even with a firm ware upgrade still wont fit in the hot shoe of the Fuji
still atleast its still usable .....oooh or maybe i'll get one of those brackets where I can have it mounted on the side

i'm sure I'll get a Fuji version so I can have it on camera

also finally figured out.. how I changed the group selection from the wheel to the GR button on the x1t
I had it set on my x1tC .. then forgot how to get it there on the X1tS .. and was determined to figure it out.. was pretty annoying having to scroll with the wheel

The TT350 makes a great small flash for travel/family and doubles as a transmitter to fire off the bigger brothers. I also bought a Flashpoint V860 II for Fuji for on camera, but I still use my Nikon version of this flash for off-camera.

Can't get over the inexpensive price of the godox TT685F or even the Godox V860IIF TTL Li-ion.

Seems the TT685F will be extremely similar to the Godox V860IIF TTL Li-ion but AA batteries instead of lithium ion.

Huge weight and size difference between the two. Love the TT350 so far but have not ran it through the paces at a reception. It did work well at a small restaurant opening. I wish it had a lithium battery like the V860.

Enloops saved me during my last reception as far as recycling time. But nothing beats a lithium ion battery.

I can still trigger remotely using cactus v6ii trigger on my fuji X-t2 and using another v6ii trigger connected with PC cord to a Godox AD600. This give the capability of HSS via PC cord. No remote power control with Cactus.

Kinda torn at the moment. Remote flash I have a working system with cactus triggers for my Canon gear.

How is the recycle times in the t685f??? Decent?

Next reception I need the bigger brother to make my life easier. I was trying to avoid having a chunky flash on top of my X-T2 but O well.

The Nissin i60 is as close as I have gotten to not having a huge flash on the top but still getting a good amount of light.
