Anyone have any shots? I unfortunately have never shot Steely Dan so I don't have any but would love to see some posts. Rest in peace Walter...

i shot them once, a few years ago... soundboard shoot at an outdoor shed. decent bill, w/ Elvis Costello opening (though he kinda mailed it in, i thought).

there were a few people who were not thrilled that photographers were standing up behind the soundboard... one guy in particular was insanely angry and given his age and physical condition, i thought that he might have had a cardiac arrest right then and there. people, relax and watch the video feed on the screen for a couple of songs... you're not gonna miss any backflips.

Thank you for the post. Excellent article and pretty good shots considering the limited location (and rampant fan behind you). Be thankful you got to see this group, they have been excellent throughout the years...

Glad you got to see them, and post photos.
Here's a live recording from their heyday live in Santa Monica with their inebriated announcer Jerome Aniton.. They Rocked the house!

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

I went to the Steely Dan at the O2 arena gig in London last month, sadly too late to see Walter. It was great to finally get to see them play, but for me it did feel a little flat without Walter. I only took a couple of pics with my phone...
