Last weekend I took a weekend trip to Yosemite National Park, here is Yosemite Falls from the big field next to Sentinel Beach. :-D

Lovely picture, but needs some post processing. I took the liberty of downloading and editing. Just a couple of easy adjustments - more contrast in the sky, and a separate adjustment for contrast in the granite faces, and a reduction of the saturation of the grass in the foreground, which I felt was drawing my eye too much to it. Not saying that my adjustments are perfect, but I think with correction you get way more pop out of the image.

To each their own, however I do not prefer the overly saturated look - makes it look fake in my opinion. In this particular setting, it wasn't a clear blue sky, actually overcast with a smoke haze from wildfire. And in Yosemite Falls's defense, its granite face is not overly red/orange like that in your edit - even with my edit, I feel I still pushed it a little too far, but yeah the orange hues are basically burned boldly into the face and that's what keeps catching my eye now. But like I said, to each their own

Thanks for your input

I guess that is what enables many of us to take the same pictures, each with their own personal touch to it. :-)

No matter what, hard to go wrong at Yosemite.

I had hoped for more color in the Aspens, but looks like I was a week or 2 early. May go back again though.

How hard was the foliage affected by the storms? Or didnt the weather reach New England?

We haven't really been hit by it, we had some clouds and it was kinda breezy for a few days. Then again I'm in central Connecticut about an hour from the shore.

This is called "Rändåfallet" in Sweden.

Love the nature here, especially when a thunderstorm is coming (like it did 15 minutes after this which made us soaking wet when walking back).

All C&C is welcome!
