Lowepro just updated their Flipside Series wiTh a version 2. The 200 Is small and will hold a minimal setup and is affordable at $99.99. The 300 will hold a bigger setup and is $119.

Looks better than the original, isn't as big as the Mindshift Backlight 26L and is certainly smaller. The 200 is 11L and has two "rows" and the 300 is 16.5L and has 3 rows for gear.

http://www.lowepro.com/flipside (external link)

this should compete squarely with the Mindshift backlight series, lowepro invented the rear access bags, still occasionally use the sport 15L, great bag.

The outlook for a nice sunset from the top of Brasstown Bald in Norther Georgia were very slim. The sky was overrun with dark clouds and then the rain came. Then in the blink of an eye as the rain start to subside, the sun poked under the cloud cover just enough to highlight the rain with beautiful orange light. It was surreal to see and I loved every second of it. Although I was soaking wet the temperature was dropping, I couldn't stop smiling.

Thanks Vinz. I'm a big fan of the FE 55 lens. It's just an all around versatile lens to have in your bag.

I've been thinking about selling mine to get the CV 65mm, but it's hard to do...I also really like the little 55mm.

Today's Tip:

When I arrive at a new location, I don't immediately take out my camera. Instead, I like to use my smart phone to visualize compositions. The lenses on most phones are equivalent to 35mm. Not only is using your phone helpful in finding that unique composition but it also helps you figure out what focal length you should shoot the scene with. If I see that I want include more of the scene than what the image from my phone is revealing, I'll go with my 21mm lens or wider. Same if I want to isolate parts of the scene. Give it a try and I think you'll find that this will help you out in the field.
