We're cooling down too....to the low 90's F.... so 32.2 C. We won't see any substantial cooling until after the American Halloween.

Great Egret at work in George Bush Park, in the flood waters from Hurricane Harvey, now slowly receding.

Today was a jackpot day, so many migrants passing through.

Finally saw a Red-eyed Vireo this year! These guys always end up giving me a nice portrait.

Anyone know what kind of bird this is? A warbler of some sort, but I'm having trouble finding a match :)

Nice shots Matthew. Migration is slowly beginning pick up down here. I'm no expert on Bird ID's but my guess would be a immature Magnolia Warbler.
