Need advice on improving this.

The second is fine but the first appears blurred to me, I'm guessing movement. A tripod may have helped to keep it sharp, or a hgher shutter speed since I didn't notice any EXIF information..

Thanks Jack, I used a slower shutter speed to allow more light (10sec) @ f/13 and ISO 400. Do you think there would be better setting?
Please let me know. I was using a tripod.

Opening the aperture to something faster than f/13 would have reduced your shutter speed. Each f-stop lower allows 2x the light, so you could have reduced the shutter speed by 1/2, and thus reduced the blur. Was there wind? Looks like something caused movement. Also, turn off image stabilization on your lens if on a tripod.

I tried to capture the feeling of summer leaving Chicago and the arrival of Fall. Shot with a Yashica Mat 124G on Ilford XP2 Super 400 film and scanned on an Epson V550 scanner.
