My camera has been sitting in the corner for months and I have never really considered doing any landscape, but I thought I would give it a try over the autumn/winter months this year as an excuse to get out of the house and use my gear.

If that's your first landscape for a while, you certainly should get out more, it's good!

Curious..............why 10"? Respectfully.

Don't even begin to think I'm criticizing your images.
Just a natural curiosity.

I was just having a play with some filters that I have collected and never actually used. I wanted to get movement in the clouds and was just trying different exposure times, it was more of an experiment than a conscious decison.

Thanks Martin, think this is probably my 5th or 6th landscape photo. It's certainly not into double figures yet.

I just fancy trying something different for me rather than sports or airshows.

Thanks for taking the time to comment :)

On Friday night I drove about 2 miles away from anyone to the middle of the Black Rock playa to watch the sunset. There was a lot of smoke in the air and it created an awesome show

andre,

Nice shots. Where was this? East Bay hills? I'm in Gilroy and I'm always looking for new places to hike and explore.

Thanks,

Chris
