This guy wrote an open letter to Canon complaining about the lack of Canon DSLR innovations since the release of 5D MkII
I wonder why he took his time to write to them when it is apparent that Canon doesn't seem to care since the ignorant consumers are still purchasing their inferior cameras.

Clearly he's unhappy. Even if he feels strongly on the subject, I wonder why he also felt the need to insult all of us Canon shooters. It's certainly an attempt to start a nasty argument, but I won't bite.

I never understood why people take time to continually complain about Canon cameras. There are other camera companies out there. Not happy with Canon, move on to something you consider better. Stop the moaning.

Truer words were never spoken.

The months long build up before a new release.....speculating, wishing, hoping.....then the new piece hits the streets and......'waaa, how could Canon be so stupid and not incorporate this feature or that capability into this new camera?'

Then, of course, this crying and complaining goes on for months and months......the 6D sucks because it has no AF......the 6D II sucks because it has no dynamic range.

Good grief....freaking grow up. Become a real photographer. Learn how to use these incredibly capable pieces of equipment. If you want a camera that can do everything for you and churn out mediocre pictures consistently then just set your T6i (or equivalent) on the green box and enjoy your life.

If you can't take award winning, wall hanging pictures with anything from the T6i on up through Canon's line then the problem is not with the camera.

It is not.

Somehow award winning photographs were taken prior to the introduction of digital cameras.

....ah yes.....they were indeed. Imagine that.

How could they have possibly accomplished that?

I happen to really like Canon cameras. I shoot Canon because I want to. If you don't, cool beans. Shoot something else. BTW, I read the article. The author doesn't present a coherent argument for his position. As to Canon ignoring its customers, and their desires, since the 5D2, perhaps a look at some sales figures would correct those misconceptions.

My brother shoots Nikon. I am happy for him, and for the fact that he never asks to borrow my gear. I'm just embarrassed for him when we go out together. Nikon cameras are ugly.

And yet there are people who believe some photographers only take pictures because they have a good Canon camera.
