For anyone that might be interested, PortraitPro 17 is now available. You can learn about what's new here:

Thanks Gene. I upgraded.

first test with the Portrait Pro 17.

I've never gone to 50% on skin smoothing slider using the previous version. I'm max to about 20 percent. Here I cranked it up to 50% and still it preserves the skin texture.

this has been retouched manually previously though. i just tested how the version 17 preserves textures as they advertised.

Looks like a nice upgrade. Im gonna check it out. Thanks!

Here's a very quick edit I did using the upgrade, including adding the custom background. Normally, I would spend more time creating the mask but I like the idea that I can go back and edit it while still in the program.

I did no editing in PS except reduce the saturation.

Outstanding all Mickey. Fantastic facial expression captured. Love the colors as well.

Thank you, Robert.

Speaking of colors and facial expressions, I snagged a few shots of some interesting fish at the Palm Beach Science Center last week.

Someday I'll capture some faster moving targets!

That was awesome, thanks for sharing MM. Did you use the Sony app to create the timelapse?

Thanks Gene.
I was trying to embed the video into a post here but can't figure it out :(
Yes, I did use the TimeLapse app from PlayMemories as the intervalometer.
The coolest thing was camping right there in the nat. forest next to the nat. park.

I put it on youtube and Flickr and noticed it looks much better on Flickr.

and no worries about wearing out a shutter!

I do wish they'd given the apps to the a9. There were times on the trip where I would have used it for timelapse.

"Respect Your Elder"

Atlanta partial skyline. These two buildings caught my eye as I scanned the ATL skyline during our blue hour shoot. I like the juxtaposition of old and new architecture represented in these tall giants.

Sorry about the banding. Thanks Flickr.

Me too Gene. Thank you. It's such a great looking building standing strong among the new kids on the block made of glass.
