Guys, I need some advice. This Instagram grouo wants to use my image of Atlanta on their mobile gallery truck this fall. I'm not keen on giving my images away for free. They have requested the highest resolution possible. I was thinking I should respond and ask for a fee to license my image. Not sure how much though.

Thank you Vinz. I agree. Getting exposure is nice but it doesn't pay the bills. I will email them and inquire about licensing the image.

Personally, I just upload to a stock site and give them the link. It tends to weed out the freebie chasers.

Thank you. Sounds like a good idea. Do you recommend a certain stock site?

I use Alamy, and they just deposit right to my PayPal account. Their QC takes about a day to approve images for sale.

a few of these kids may become billionaires one day.

from a paid gig last Saturday. One idle time I saw this group who look really cute and not looking so it's perfect to hide their identity.

Testing out Aurora HDR 2018 for Windows. This was single image that was processed through Aurora and then finished off in LR. This one has a lot of texture in so it doesn't look as great at lower resolution. Still need to do more testing with Aurora HDR to draw any conclusions. It failed to install the PS and LR plugins so I sent MacPhun Support an email.

Loxia 21mm in not the greatest lighting conditions.

One more processed through Aurora. The detail sliders in the program work well for architecture images. It's easy to get halos around edges though if you're not careful. I have a slight halo on the right side on the diagonal line of the building.

i bought the previous version and returned it. i don't know now but before you can return. they will just deactivate your key. I was looking for a more natural look and I found lightroom as more natural compared to Aurora.

I think the policy is the same with this new version. I agree that results from Aurora are definitely more dramatic and HDRish than LR but that's because it is using a tone mapping engine. You have the option to disable that. Still it's very easy to go over the top running your images through Aurora. I'll keep experimenting with it.

TMaG surely you still have something that shoots?
I say keep shooting regardless of what camera....it's good for the soul.
Keep posting up too. I'm good with coffee cups, ask Gene :)

Yup, I still have the Canon EOS M6 that I bought for my wife a few months ago and a handful of lenses for it (22, 15-45, 28 macro). She decided she wanted to start vlogging fashion things but gave us after a few weeks because she didn't realize how much work it is to edit the videos, lol. Not the best lenses in terms of IQ, but small, tiny, and good for what they are. My oldest daughter who's 4 is so intrigued by the flip up selfie screen as well, so she's always running around with it taking pictures. The 28mm macro with the LED light is pretty fun to use. Something about carrying around a small camera that's relatively cheap is very liberating, don't have to worry about getting it knocked around. I'll probably end up getting the 11-22 zoom as well for it before my Disney trip. Being able to put the camera and 4 lenses in a small carry on is fun as well.
