Well executed! They wouldn't let me get that close when I was there! That in the field by the "lodge" deal they have there?

Thanks! It was pretty out of the blue. This was before the lodge, by the river in front of the Court of the Patriarchs.

I recommend that everyone read the article. here is the link again, and again, thank you Levina

https://www.outdoorphotographer.com …-lens-tips-and-techniques (external link)

This is a follow up post. I went yesterday to a different location with the intention of getting pictures of wild turkeys. They didnt show up, but they sent the ground squirrels to take their place in the park. I took pictures of them. I altered my method by holding the lens underneath. I changed the multiple frame method from high speed to normal. With the AI servo, better support, and less vibrations from the repeated exposures, I got much sharper results, even with relatively low shutter speeds (I pushed the envelope on purpose). I would not recommend 1/80 for a 600mm lens, but I did get some sharp pictures at that setting.

For those interested in seeing some images are posted in the wildlife forum in the thread Rodents of Unusual Size, or, you can go to my smugmug page to see them.
