Nice shot Mr. Sidknee!! Just wondering if f/9 is the widest aperture possible for the lens, adaptor, and TC combination?

SX10is, S90, d5100 (35mm1.8, 18-55mm, 55-200mm), d750 (28-300mm, 50mm 1.8, 35-70mm 2.8, 24-120mm f/4, 85mm 1.8G), EOS-M5 (EF-M 15-45mm, 18-150mm, EF 40mm 2.8)

Thanks Russ, yes it is as wide as it gets with the tc on. Still, the auto focus of the M5 is better than my 7DII when the tc is on the lens.

Wow, I wouldn't have expected that! On the other hand, mine is very, very accurate, even with the Canon adaptor on.

It surprised me too, the 7DII has the centre point only for focus and hunts like crazy in anything but the best light whereas the M5 has all the multi point tracking and all focus points and does focus much more readily even in dim lighting. In every other respect the 7DII smokes the M5 on the af front.

Finally using the M5 again! I much prefer carrying this around for the whole day than my 6DII for the smaller size and weight.

Ms. Rosie,
I like your star shape rays coming from the sun using your Tokina. I see you had a magnitude 4.6 quake, did you feel it?

Yes the Tokina is great for the star shape rays at small apertures. But I do need to try get a lens hood for it .... maybe I'll see if there's u apdated version of the lens as it's a bit of a favourite.

No I didn't feel the earthquake ... looked on Geonet but didn't see a 4.6, but sometimes they down grade them ... or upgrade. It may have been too far away, or too deep.

I'm participating in a Mental Health Awareness photography challenge. I missed the first 2 or 3 days ... yesterday was "light", and today's theme was "water".

Today's shot - worked so not much time to get out and think about it.
