Tell her she is WRONG!

Greetings from Split, Croatia!

I was recently doing shoot with my girlfriend, who also happens to be my most used model and muse. We took this set of photos and disagree widely on which ones are the best ones. I like the ones with wet hair and she thinks they look terrible and she looks terrible. What do you think? Thanks for your feedback.

After years of marriage the correct answer is always " you are right sweetie"
But my personal favorite is the one without her hair wet just because of the way the back lighting filters through her hair

I also love the first one. Expression, light....very nice.

as others have said, the expression on the first is better, pose is a little better.

the wet hair is okay but just a little off, maybe another frame is better.

The 2nd one is cropped to tight.

I get the smile humour, but I think it looks better on an even tighter crop - and that would be my preference - #2, with a tighter crop, slight increase of exposure on her face with a few small edits because of the tighter crop.

If the OP has an any issue with my crop/edit in order to give my #2 vote - I will remove it.

I prefer this one

It gets a bit noisy cropped at that amount, but, better framing indeed. I have the same shot at different compositions, some tighter, so maybe I will use one of those. The focus was much better on #2. Thanks.

Your girlfriend is right. As you already know lighting and processing might be better, but that is not the point.

Both pictures are of a strong and beautiful woman of impeccable character her choice in men notwithstanding.
