I like the lighting in these but her eyebrows are really distracting. They appear to be drawn on.

Nice work but I assume these were taken during a group shoot with other photographers. How much input did you have to the lighting set up? I appreciate if this was your first time shooting anything like then then you probably didn't set the lights up yourself but did you have an input in to how you wanted the lighting to look?

Not bad.
One thing that bothers me is the high shine on her back shoulder/neck area. It really draws the eye which you don't want IMO.

No, just me and the model. These pictures were taken in my small family room, I set the lighting up myself. I saw this set up somewhere on the Internet, can't remember exactly where. See lighting diagram attached. I have another shoot scheduled with this young lady a week from Saturday. She wants to do an outdoor fashion type shoot. Still researching lighting and poses for that shoot.

That's pretty much the fashion (the eyebrows) ... certainly 'a fashion' ... I think you'll find. To me, also, they seem distractingly precise but I am way too well-seasoned to hold a valid opinion on the current 'look'.

David.
Comment and (constructive) criticism always welcome.

Those first two are great, well done to both of you. And unfortunately yes, those eyebrows are a trend at the moment. :(

The first is very nice, well done. In the next two I find the boot top really distracting, an odd element pulling the eye away from the subject. Her regular jean in that part of the image would be much better.
