Out Goofing around today looking for a place to get a family portrait. I'd say colors will peak here this week.

Which one do you like?

My mate took me to a really cool spot directly facing Auckland city last night. We tried for a milky way shot, but there was a ton of ambient light from Auckland city, right behind the tree. Considering the ambient light, we mangaged to get something.

Also a couple of sunset shots and a couple of experiments for noise reduction. One set of 5 stacked images, stacked median in PS and the other using the Smooth Reflection app. 16 x 10 second shots.

smooth reflection - will try this again and try and use a single image for sky

Carlo, the AF setup you gave me for the procession was perfect. all the procession shots are on focus with the 35mm at F2 (AF-C+ Expand Flexible Spot). Have you tried this with the 85GM? i know the 85GM is a bit sloppy in AF department. Have you tried though?

Enjoying your colors! So far we're just muted here in the southeast.

Awesome work Gabe. Evenwith Auckland right there you still pull off a killer Milky Way.
All the shots were great.
