I love Halloween and every year I have a new project to improve my Haunt! This year I made 8 plywood tombstones, an altar for corpsed skulls and three corpsed skulls on stakes (not pictured). Here's a few pictures of my 2017 Haunt!

If you really want to scare people, use real skeletons....

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

Update on my drowned 80D.

Canon received it last Thursday. They just called and told me it's beyond economical repair. I'm not going to be able to replace it anytime soon so it looks like I'm out of the photography hobby for a while.

The people at the Canon service center were very nice but couldn't help any further.

Sorry for your loss! It might be slightly disappointing coming from your 80D, but you could pick up a used older Canon body here in the sale section or on eBay that would still be compatible with any glass you have. Don't let an accident keep you from doing something you enjoy, life is too short!

My first attempt at a portrait shoot with lighting was a success.

Ouch. So sorry to hear that. Maybe you could sell it as defective/for parts and get at least a little bit of cash for it. I've sold a couple defective electronic devices (no cameras, though) on ebay and was surprised at how much I got for some of those.

Had the 100-400 on when I saw these flowers and didn't have the nerve to put on the macro lens:

Sorry to hear that. I hope that you'll be able to buy an other body as soon as you can.

Here are a few high ISO shots from this year's flag football season. These are in very poor light at ISO 16,000. I've found that if the photo doesn't need a lot of cropping, it will look decent printed at 4x6, which is what I sell to the parents. These have very little post-processing done and I believe I just slid the Noise Reduction slider to 15 or 20. I don't have a lot of time to edit each photo, as I edited and printed 2,750 photos this year. I use a 7D in good light up to ISO 1,600 and switch to my 80D when I need to go higher.
