i have no problem at all. I did not copy the plugins folder. I went inside the plugins folder and copied whatever inside and pasted it inside the plugins folder of the 2018.

However i re installed the 2017 though. I noticed a slow rendering every time i brush using the healing brush tools. When i brush it takes a couple of seconds before you see results. wtih 2017 it's instant.

this is a very heavy crop from the a9...but I forgot to adjust my export settings and it exported out to the same settings that I had been using on images from the A7R2, 6000 on the long side...and there is no IQ loss at all from the original crop...blows my mind. That tells me I can print really big from either of these bodies...

Help someone.
Please look at my pic of the Home waters I posted above.
The SR app blurred the trees upper right. The wind was cranking that day.
Would it be feasible to have shot a single shot freezing the trees then using
a layer mask to 'pain't them in non-blurred ??

It's possible but difficult since the clouds are moving above the trees. It would require very precise masking.

Oddly enough, when I just installed the latest version of Photoshop CC and copied the plugins from the 2017 plugins folder to the 2018 folder, Photoshop wouldn't load and I kept getting error messages. So, I deleted the plugins I had just copied there and copied the plugins from my older 2015 plugins folder and pasted them to the 2018 plugins folder. Now Photoshop loads again and all the plugins are available.

Apparently, there was a file in the 2017 plugins folder of mine that was causing an issue in the 2018 folder. I don't know if my issue is unique to my configuration or if anyone else has had the same problem so I thought I'd mention it here.

I had the same initial problem when I tried to copy plugin folders. Lightroom was ok, but PS bombed on startup. I cleaned out the copied plugin folder and PS worked again.

Previously I had saved the last latest Nik download. I reinstalled Nik from that download and it now works just fine in the latest versions Lightroom and Photoshop.

Well, all the Nik plugins are in the Google folder. I have several others so I had more folders and files that I copied over.

Here's a screenshot of everything that is in my PS CC 2018 plugins folder now. The only thing that was there when I first installed was the folder labeled "Generator". Everything else I had copied/pasted there from my PS CC 2015 plugins folder.

Excellent. Love the POV and the s-curve of the track. B&W lends even more drama.

And back to a mediocre shot from me... :-)

I found this small Craftsman Utility Knife in my driveway a long time ago. I have no idea how it got there but I never found anything of mine damaged by it.

Hint, my sig is in a different place on this image. It doesn't show up quite as well as I'd like at this resolution...oh well.

I should have left space between the text and the border but I was trying different techniques and the font was a solid to begin with.
