I wish I could do that mediocre. You're so humble but I know how much skill/talent it takes to pull that off.

Checkout the difference in shutter speed too to achieve the same exposure. I think the STF only wins in bokeh balls when there's lights in the background. vinmunoz Cream of the Crop More info | Oct 20, 2017 15:34 | #5871 That's why i compared them because they labeled it as the Bokeh Master. it's way way faster in autofocus though that's why i'm intrigue if the bokeh is really better. i'm mostly shooting strobe now so the T5.6 is not a problem to me. but epic fail on the bokeh department. | SONY A7SIII(2) | A73 | A6000 | Sony A7IV | Sigma105 | FE1635F4 | Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 | Tamron 17-28 Tamron 28-75 | FE50F1.8 | Sony 16035F4PZ | SEL30mm F3.5 Macro | Canon 24mm TSE | Laowa 15mm Shift

Thats my point, you are comparing different apertures so wont be able to tell anything. You should check the GM at f/5.6 vs the STM at same aperture and it will give you a better feel for it. An f/1.4 is always going to beat a f/5.6 if shooting both wide open. It just depends if you can live without f/1.4 Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

T5.6 isn't a factor anymore. it's because it's way way faster in auto focus. i used both yesterday at the shoot and the 1000's AF is instant. the 85GM hunts sometimes. I'de wait a week, see what announcement comes next week.
