I know this question has been brought up before. But has there been a way to successfully find the shutter count besides shipping it to Canon?

Thank you.

I thought that the tool at AstroJargon (external link) worked for the 5D but it's been a loooooong time since I used it. Gotta ask though, with the camera as old as it is, does it matter any more?

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Im looking to sell the camera. I believe I am withing a certain range with the camera, but Id like to be more accurate if at all possible. I know apps and websites are always getting better with the years passing, but the 5D seems to elude it.

If it's any consolation, shutter-count apps don't work on the 80D, either.
