This looks really interesting:

In the α7R III on the new pixel conversion multiple shooting mode, make full use of the fuselage 5-axis anti-shake function, to achieve high-resolution images. In this mode, the camera moves in 1 pixel increments and shoots four separate pixel moving images, containing a total of about 99.44 million pixel data. The four images can be synthesized and processed using the software from the new Imaging Edge Intelligent Imaging Application Center. This mode allows for higher resolution and color accuracy of still images, which will be more ideal for shooting themes with complex details and colors for architecture, artwork, or other still life.

Aka pixel shift.

Some existing cameras can do this, , but otherwise cool feature

The 24-105 looks to be a full inch shorter than the 24-70gm, moderate size, about the same as 24-105L, with no adapter needed.

400 f2.8 oss being announced in China

My heart just skipped a beat.....sadly wouldn't not be able to heft a 2.8.
My dreams of the FE400/4 dashed for a while.

10fps, enhanced silent mode, enhanced eye tracking.

Not quite A9 since it can't do continuous live view, shame.

Nice incremental update, too expensive for immediate purchase.

Looks like I was off, 8fps live view (no blackout), 10 with conventional shutter...

Incredible if true.

I'll own one by next year, no doubt

Pixel shift is how Olympus gets the huge resolution files from their cameras.
Sony I think owns part of Oly, that's how they got a leg up on in body stabilization?
and now it looks like pixel shift too.
I can imagine an uncompressed raw out of the Riii with pixel shift and a 160mb file!!

From the US Sony site-
'AF performance is improved by inheriting the AF performance used in the α9 and applying it optimally, so once the α7R III captures a wild animal that moves unpredictably, it won’t easily let it go.'

An A7Rii + a9= A7Riii imagine the cropability!!!

I wish I was rich about right now!

The wind just fell out of Nikon's D850 sails :)
and where is Canon during all of this? I bet in a corner scratching their heads.

Pre-ordered lol, jk

Sell off my older cameras during spring break, I won't need multiple cameras, until the next school year. A7rii + A7riii will be a nice combo.
