MacPhun is changing their name to Skylum. They want to be a worthy Adobe alternative. I wish them luck. I'm all for competition.

Just a comment on Macphun, they are holding my Aurora refund hostage until I give them an hdr sample with terrible halos (already sent them that) as well as all the raw brackets.

This is like returning a sweater and the store saying, “Sure, we’re happy to refund you as soon as you shovel the snow off our sidewalk.” I’ll never buy anything from them ever again.

Wow that's really crappy.

eBay have made the decision to remove the option to not allow best offers when selling. I generally price my items to sell by doing a bit of research into previous sales to work out the fair going rate and disable offers. I’m now selling something and can’t turn that option off due to their new policy and I’m getting bombarded with people giving me low ball offers. Totally frustrating. Like people offering me 20% of my list price

You can remove that in advance mode when you create ad. Won’t be able to edit.

David, that is a terrible business practice on their part! I don’t blame you for never wanting to do business with them again. They took their time with my refund but nothing like your bad experience. Have you tried contacting their spokesperson Trey Ratcliff to see if he can knock some sense into them?

Cory/others, I’m thinking about a vacation in Idaho next year. The state looks beautiful. I’m not sure where to go and see. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Idaho is pretty sweet. Feel free to PM me with tentative plans. I’m happy to offer up tons of advice!

I need to keep that in mind because I've recently starting using their Luminaria (I think that's what it's called), I'd rather use NIK, but Luminawhatever is OK to play with for a free beta.

I’m really really excited about the announcement of the a7R II. IBIS, backlit sensor, eye AF, 4K video with S Log, 42MP, etc. Definitely the camera for me!! :)

Question: how do older lenses like the Canon 135L perform as far as image quality with these hi-megapixel Sonys like the A7r2?

already owns it :-P

from his perspective not very exciting, and the excitement has died for me a bit, but like the A7rii, I'll wait and own in a few months. I could generate funds for the camera pretty easily as I've been saving up for general gear lust, but I'll wait it out a bit, have a few outings scheduled.... landscape outings..... where SR might be a part of. Have some fall and Halloween shooting planned as well, pretty busy these few months with heavy amounts of shooting every weekend.

135L is my only Canon L lens that I still need to sell, but I'm keeping it until something native comes out. As for image quality, I can't complain. I see excellent results using a7rii and 135L with MBIV.
