My 7 year old boy stole my camera and shot this of me!

Watch out, Kim. He's gonna steal your job if he keeps hitting shots like that.

I apologize for blowing this post up....

I'd like you to meet Skylar, my little Shirley Temple. ;) We've had her 11 months now, and until the adoption was final, unable to post any photos of her on social media.

THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

I apologize for the stupid image. It's always cats, dogs or pints when you get a new lens, right? Giddy I suppose.

I think this 18mm might be a keeper. Camera-to-phone mobile upload. Screen saver on my phone is a reamer, because--you know--that's the way it goes.

congrats on the 18mm. I had mine, didn't use it much, and sold it... now I kind of miss it lol. BUT, at the end of the month, I'll be ordering the 50-140 with the 2X teleconverter, so hopefully that'll ease my broken heart. :-D

I had that lens with my 5D and 5D mkii. I loved it but ended up switching to the Canon 85mm F1.8 which was a mistake. I love Rokinon lenses.

I did the same thing initially. I bought a Bower version of the 85/1.4 and returned it due to sticky aperture... when I returned it I found the Canon 85/1.8 for only slightly more so I figured I'd try it instead. It only took me a few days of shooting to realize I missed the Samyang so I returned the Canon and got another Samyang (Rokinon this time). I've had that one ever since... it might be the lens that's kept with me the longest actually, I used it on my Canon's, Sony's and Fuji's with and without focal reducers, it's just a great lens.

Nothing will ever replace the 135/2 but interested to her your thoughts on the Rok85/1.4. I'm thinking of getting another 135 - possible the Samyang/Rokinon one and speedboosting it. But then again a GFX with a 180/? on it....

I love mine (as stated above). I don't use it as much as I used to though, it's just too big (for me) on my Fuji bodies, I prefer to use an adapted 50mm (or now my XF 60mm) most of the time.

Nothing to apologize for! Beautiful shots and congratulations! Adoption and positive foster stories give me faith in humanity.

Enjoy that 18mm! Honestly, I think the original trilogy is all I'd ever really need to be happy with my Fuji system... doesn't mean that's where I'll stop, but I love those lenses

So as I'm prepping to get the 50-140, I'm trying to decide whether or not any of my other lenses need to go...

Definitely keeping the 23mm and 35mm (although I wish I had kept my 35/1.4 instead of selling it for the 35/2)... but in any case..

I also have the 56mm and 90mm. Now if I had to part with one, I'd probably lean more towards letting go of the 90mm, but again.. undecided. I don't technically have to get rid of any of the lenses, but I feel like the overlap is being sort of wasteful (plus I could always use the funds towards something else photography related... recycle, reuse lol).

Tough decisions, if it were me I would sell the 90 and keep the 56. The 90 is very close focal length if you pick up the 50-140. And the 56 is great when you need the extra light but of course you will be closer. If you do any indoor event work the 56 is great to have.

If I decide, it probably would be the 90mm. I can't part with 1.2 lol.

I normally stick to primes, but with my son continuing to play soccer season after season, I can see the benefits of the longer reach of the zoom. Doesn't hurt that the 50-140 is also great for portraits which is what I'm really into. Plus my new little girl is probably going to start dance classes soon, so double duty on that zoom lens.

What he said!

If I were to sell, I'd be the 90/2 unless you need a lens to get in close and narrow - there are a few shots I use it for. But for the versatility it's a no brainer + you can pop on a 1.4x or 2x converter on the zoom. The 1.4 giving you a very useable 70-196mm f/4.

Just off the phone with a client and looks like I have to go shoot/record a 1.5 hour or so long live talk to video. They only want HD, and that's fine, but my X-PRO2 only records for 30mins before cutting out and I can't attach an Atomos to it either. vmad

Things that are better with an X-T2: recording long videos.

But does it need to be a single, uncut take?

EDIT: I say this because there are few things or people that can hold my attention for an uninterrupted 1-1/2 hours. ;-)a

EDIT: never mind. I'm just now appreciating the word "live".

I'm pretty sure all Fuji bodies have a 30min cut off.

Is there a way you could have 2 bodies setup with slightly different angles and just switch between them? I've never done any live feed stuff so I'm not really sure how that works...

Yes unfortunately it does, one point view too so swapping out a camera is not an option, pity. Guess I'll have to use a proper video camera so, now Black Magic or Canon.

Yes the cameras have a max of 30mins, higher tax band in many countries if you go over that!

Really recording to an external device is the way to go for that type of thing if you don't want to use a dedicated video camera. Even the data in recording 1.5 hours of video is a push as you need a about a 90 Gig card for Full HD and then the power will only last so long. Going to use the Black Magic I'd say.

Yes usually could just bounce between a couple of angles but they want one point on this one.
