so between the 1.4X and 2X teleconverters, what's everyone's take? I know the 2x cuts down 2 stops, but also gives you 2x the reach. Trying to weigh the pros and cons.

Really recording to an external device is the way to go for that type of thing if you don't want to use a dedicated video camera. Even the data in recording 1.5 hours of video is a push as you need a about a 90 Gig card for Full HD and then the power will only last so long. Going to use the Black Magic I'd say.

If this is just for a one time shoot or an occasion thing I would just rent something or at most buy a decent camcorder.

Is it sort of a podcast type thing?

Yep, one time thing as far as I know anyway, I can borrow or rent a F7s or ursula, recon that is the way to go. Just wish I could use my Fuji and if they keep asking my to video things it'll make sence to invest in the right kit. Just need to budget that out.
X-T2 + grip, cage and rods, hood, flag, handels, brace, external recorder, tripod and head, lighting, sound recorder and microphones, follow focus, bags to hold it all in, backups, more storage for raid and lots not start talking gimbals and sliders/crains... This is why I dislike video

Kim I think the red infra red assist beam from a canon and Nikon is not obnoxious and hardly noticeable in many cases to the subjects.

Is the Godox emitting a white LED burst??? is it similar to the white light from the Fuji body?? This is where I think the white beam has less distance and very aggressive on the subjects eyes especially for candids in low light.

I still have a bunch of godox flash units in my Amazon shopping cart. I've yet to pull the trigger as I do not consider my fuji for hired events. I've been using my Fuji EFX500 flash lately for personal experimentation using family as test subjects. I'm still genuinely experimenting......jus​t haven't found comfort zone yet with the AF hunting in low light interior shots. My little 80D never misses a beat in landing shots using bounced flash AF focus in dreadful light.

Yep almost 4500 wedding photographers using Fuji in work, it's a great group filled with helpful photographers.

That Canikon AF beam is quite stealthy alright, for the most part, still only works when the subject is in close and in or near the centre of the frame. If you are trying to focus outside of those parameters you'll end up in trouble.

The Godox beam is like a pattern of little red crosses, not the blinding white light of the other flashes or the cameras one. It's just a good fit for Fuji right now. I only ordered one to test out and have been impressed so far, I do use their bigger strobes and they are great.

ooh that's great!! I find my 10-24 to be the worst in !AF hunting like mad. It'd be nice to hear if it makes the AF rock solid.

This is the entire reason why I do not use my Fuji for bounced flash photography for hired events. Also I'd have to change alot of things to adapt godox for my remote flash work. This is another reason why I keep on using my Canon.

red godox grid looks promising.....more info please.....is it just as reliable as Canon with speedlight infra red focus assist?? I still cannot see it being equal.

Alan maybe you missed it, Kim mentioned this a while back.

That was the TT685f on one camera and I took the shot with the other camera as the AF beam will not be on when the shutter is open. This is only the start of this kind of thing for on sensor AF, we'll see where it goes from here but so far looks promising.

Out for a late walk today after a morning of meetings, so glad the sun was shining. Gota love the Autumn colours.

Damn. I just took a pass on a 90 yesterday, and lo and behold another one pops up.

I might post some more in the next few days, kind of a wake for your loss perhaps.
