I am currently so covered in work since months that only have time to shoot during vacations or weekend trips anyway. Having less time for photography really helps against GAS which I think is a good thing. On the other hand its a shame all the money I put into my gear but only using it so rarely at the moment Sony A7RII | Sony A7S

I dont shoot weddings but I shoot my son (and soon daughter) and thats where the a7rii is not fast enough at times and why I want a faster body. I just dont want to pay such a high upgrade fee for that one feature. Fast moving unpredictable kids requires speed more than weddings IMO. I dont shoot weddings though so make what you will of that statement Sony α7RV | Leica Q2

Using the A6000 now. The RII is with the box already waiting for a new owner. ![]() Hosted photo: posted by vinmunoz in ./showthread.php?p=18482941&i=i42622733 forum: Sony Digital Cameras What are you replacing the RII with if I may ask? I have been so busy with work and also converting my campervan this year I have hardly shot anything beyond personal family stuff that I dont post here. I was stressing myself out about the money I had tied up in the gear and thinking whats the point if I dont use it. Then one day Cory wrote something on here in response to one of my posts about it and it made me see things differently. I cant remember the exact words now but the gist was that hobbies are things we come and go at and even though I was not using it now it would be something I would get back into and the gear would be there (He said it a bit better than the way I have said it here!!). But regardless I no longer stress about the fact im not using the gear as much as I should this year Sony α7RV | Leica Q2

Your kids or wife will forgive you. the court wont. lol Just to be clear im not saying weddings dont demand speed, they definitely do. I was just pointing out that there are other uses that require it too, like kids under 5. regardless of forgiveness I dont want to miss my familys one off moments that cant be recreated either Sony α7RV | Leica Q2

It is very satisfying though to use the gear after months and going home with nice shots. Ive been able to shoot quite a few nice pictures during my holidays in summer. I think if I use the camera at least a few times a year I'm fine. Sony A7RII | Sony A7S

That’s a lot lower than the £4500 release price and it’s not that old at all (what 6 months?). I wonder how much the a7riii will drop to 6 months after release? It may be hard to resist at that point if it drops significantly like the a9 has. The a7riii is £3200 on release. Sony α7RV | Leica Q2
