So looks like the a9 will be sold tomorrow. Kinda wanted to not sell it since I have another wedding this weekend and will need to rent something now, but its a local deal and the numbers work for me. I'll probably preorder from a smaller retailer since adorama and B&H are usually back ordered for a while.

If you’re backordered does it mean you missed the first wave?

Has anyone had issues with the A7Rii taking a long time to power on? Is that just normal for this camera? When I turn it on, the readouts on the display turn on one by one over time. I'm not talking 10's of seconds, but it takes 3-5 seconds sometimes I'd say for everything to turn on. Maybe that is one of the adjustments with the mirrorless from the DSLR. The DSLR is ready to go the second you power it on or wake it up.

after battery change, it takes a longer time. Also, if you turn it off and on too fast. If you're in an app, it takes a long time.

In addition to Charlie's input...what FW is yours on? An update sped startup up just a bit...not to DSLR levels...but it was faster.

Yes. This one of the things I dislike about the a7rII. If you leave the camera switched on, the wake up time is faster, but still not always fast enough if you need to bring your camera up and quickly take a shot...

Wake up time is much improved in the a9 and hopefully the a7riii.

Excuse the Fuji photo but just wanted to let you guys know my daughter Isla was born 4 hours ago. She is less than 10 mins old here. Couldnt help myself looking at the photos in lightroom when I got home. Time for some sleep now!

Thanks Travis, Mum and baby still in hospital. I left at 1:30am as not allowed to go up to the ward with them out of hours and that’s what time we left the delivery suite. I can go back at 11am.

A couple I am working on for a client...would like to feedback...WB was tricky as hell...and then on top of that, the two sides of this model home are decorated in opposing color pallets...but the web/marketing guy wants the color tones to be similar in the final output images! So I am trying to get the cooler one to match the warmer one...warmer side is the top.
