Ordered my R3 through Adorama as well. I hope i won’t miss the first wave of shipping. The R3 is a hotcake.

I ordered day after day 1 from adorama also.. hope that was quick enough

At this point I don't think I'm going to pre-order. I'm gonna see if I can snag one from somewhere at launch. If its backordered awhile, no big deal. I don't really need the cam till next year.

I wonder what I really need camera wise. Maybe a Brownie.

Same here! :-)

Oh, and I have a Brownie around here somewhere.

Sadly, this is my Brownie that I've had since I was a kid. Once, a long time ago, I thought I'd give it a good cleaning and whatever I used wiped all the paint off the front, Kodak logo, stripes, and all. So in disgust with myself, I've just had it sitting in storage for years. Even the leather handle has rotted off. :-(

:-P:-P This thread has got to the be "posterchild" for G.A.S. as a psychological disorder. The Marketplace threads don't have as much buying and selling going on as we do here.

If I can survive the R3 release without breaking down, problem resolved

My shooting buddy is going to be using it side by side with me when it releases, if I can handle that, I can handle any gear lust :-D

I'de say that I've found my happy place with a LOT of my lenses.

FE 12-24, 35-70, 100-300, 200 f4, FE 35, FE 50, FE 85

I'm getting better at self restraint, and while I love love love the output I'm getting from the CV 35 f1.7, it's not an end game unless sony dramatically improves the AF performance to Metabones levels.

I find that I usually get a bit swept up in the excitement, but by the time a product is released I've been so thoroughly inundated with news about it that I'm over it before I can even buy it.

Playmemories apps can be a lifesaver sometimes and I hope Sony add them via firmware to the newer bodies.

I went to an event at my kids school and the wife told me to take photos. So I packed up my a7rII and 85GM only to later discover that I didn't pack a memory card. At that point a lay person would have just used their phone....but not photo-dad.

Connected the camera to my phone and had the images transfer wirelessly over while I shot. Had to wait for the files to transfer between shots, but it got the job done.

I have a tax ID and can get around paying tax for gear at best buy. If it's in stock there at launch I might get it there. I'm planning of funding the a7rIII from my a9 sale y'day, but Best Buy has really good financing deals that I never mind taking advantage of.

A99II loaner en route. Sony professional services is on top of their game. Not just because of the generous loaners...they're really responsive and always on top of things. Turn around on loaners and the repair I had done with them is really fast.

If something were to break and I had a gig coming up, I'm pretty confident Sony could get me a loaner within days and a repair done quickly.
