David, that is one fine lens in the Batis 135. Nicely done. We don't get Fall colors like that here in South Texas.

I hope you don't mind me offering some crit from an architects PoV...I really like this image for the element you are showcasing, but the comp is not helping for me...to my eye vertical would have worked a little better, it would eliminate the two "sunstars" from the light packs on the walls and you would not see the AC unit on the left. It feels like it could have really worked vertical, exaggerate the trees it is set into and highlight the canopy and the light under it, it looks like the architect worked to get that structure in there and blend it into the trees...just my two pesos...

Thanks Travis for the feedback. I agree with you on all points. Actually I included a vertical shot but it was earlier during golden hour. This one was a two shot vertical pano and yes I should have removed those distracting elements. I appreciate your perspective as an architect!

those service elements of a building are necessary evils...AC units and wall packs, and electrical panels are something I always try to avoid, use something to screen them or minimize them...I like it a lot more when I can put those things up on a roof or out of sight!

i'm processing an entire wedding session for a local studio. He's using only Canon 5D2 (21.1MP) and this lightroom is not running. it's crawling. Grrrrr. Very slow when moving to different photos to photos even in library mode.

Sounds like a hardware issue or something other than just LR...I typically don't have any issues with it being really slow once it gets up and running. Allocating a large partition of a half full internal drive as my scratch disk made a big improvement.

I have an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) with 32GB of ram. it shouldn't be this slow. the USB drive where the files resides is a USB 3. i'll try the C1, it's it's faster than this, i'll finally do the switch. I just love the HSL sliders of LR.

Doesn’t sound like a hardware issue. I use a late 2014 MacBook retina and it’s always quick. Wonder if you need to reinstall the software?

Haha! Yeah you got me Gene. That title kind of gives you an idea of my workflow. Lots of round trips between LR and PS and Nik. I'm working on a better non-destructive workflow. For work related projects, I am not flattening my layers in PS in case I need to come back later and tweak something. I use ACR as a filter within PS if I need to tweak something instead of going back to LR. For personal work, I don't mind flattening since that saves on hard drive space.

working from a USB drive is your likely culprit...I have found that to be slower and troublesome in LR.
