5Dmk2/MPE-65/430Ex fl;ash. Handheld. Most have been focus stacked using zerene.

Wow the details are great, how many shots do you find it takes to make a stack worthwhile? Do you find even 2 stacked together is better than 1?

Thanks for the comments. Yes with flies I often just use two shots to get more DOF at the aperture I'm using.

Wow, it's crazy how complex these creatures look up close. While I'll still swat flies when I see them, I'll view them a bit differently after seeing these photos.
