It must be cold; your poor kid's lips are blue.
Congrats on the weight, Chet!

He was working on a frosting cookie. (It is 38°f outside, don't tell my wife).

I have 50#'s to go.

Congrats!
How did the misses do this time? The first one was pretty rough for you.

Better. Last time, she had the HELLP (High Elevated Liver Enzymes, Low [Blood] Platelet] count. This time, she is just fine and dandy (knock on wood). Just ready for it to be done!!

Wow Chet, you have lost a lot of weight.

I noticed that right away too.

Well, I am into my 2nd year of my MBA, and it sucks up every free minute of my life. Between work, MBA, family, there isn't much time to do anything else. I mentioned just a few posts ago, that we are expecting another kid, in T-8 days (due date is the 17th), so hands will be full even more so!!!

No rest for the wicked as they say. I may have to dust off the camera just to get some photos...

as for photos I took in the past, I am still backed up to last august for processing photos in lightroom/ps....

Better to be busy than bored. ;)

I still have lots of photos from over the last 7 years that need processing yet. I just like gathering them. :)

Thanks kids. Down 65#'s since October. Hope to be down another 15 by April 15. Seems very doable.

Good on you. It looks great!

80% of what I take never gets processed. From time to time I will wander back and pick a few just for fun. My typical work flow.

1. take images (lots)
2. download and cull about 25% (obvious bad ones. Missed focus, or some other error.
3. Cull duplicated and pick 1~3 best ones.
4. Process just the best ones. I'm guessing it's about 1 in 5.
5. Archive the rest.

I figure my final keeper rate is about 2%. I do a major cull every winter, and revisiting previous years, and I did a major delete-blitz in early Feb. last month. Down to about 3000 images! So considering all the shots I have ever taken (not counting removing obvious duplicates which would be numerous thousands), yeah I have kept 1 or 2%.

I have actually significantly cut down the number of pictures I shoot when out and about. For instance, this weekend we went to the zoo and I brought home 68 images. I have gone back to my old film habits taking a lot more care with each image.

My process is similar, at least through the first 3. I only process the good ones if it is something that I (or someone else) is keen to see. The rest are in the "later" pile. :)

I do have them all backed up good though.

Just saw about 15 or so of the old crew on fb. All miss this place. I guess that's why we always leave the lights on. Like a parent, we always hope the kids will stop by for a visit.
