me too.... basicly because PS CS-3 hasn't a clue how to deal with the M5 Raw files!

nicely shot by the way...

I can already tell I'll shoot RAW with the M5, even after a handful of photos. Lightroom handled the RAW good and the color rendition using the same lenses was close to the color from my Canon 5DS files. Typically, Lightroom is about all I need.

Do you use the view finder more than the LCD to take the shots?

I use the viewfinder on my full frame and will use the same most often with the M5. Even when I had a Canon 60D with a flip screen, I found the viewfinder more comfortable.

The LCD is one of the best but the EVF is also one of the best too. I tend to use the LCD when I can but in bright situations you can't.

If that is the only reason, you can convert to DNG (I assume CS3 can read DNG?). I do this since I don't have LR and use CS6 for these raws. I just convert them, process the DNGs and then keep only he Canon raw files and jpegs once I am happy.

I guess they figure we have enough ef and ef-s lenses to fill the gap. Yes it is too bad because Sony is taking over this market by adding new cameras all the time. Do you have a particular firmware update you'd like to see? Maybe Canon is listening.

As far as I know, there was only 1 firmware update and this is what it was for:

Firmware Version 1.0.1 incorporates the following fixes:
1. Corrects a phenomenon in which, when the playback grid is set to “6×4″, and a vertical image is displayed, or a horizontal image is rotated to be displayed vertically, the grid does not display correctly.

2. In languages other than Japanese, the phrase “no. of shots” has been corrected to “value” in the “Time-lapse movie settings > Interval/Shots” setting screen.

I would like to see Canon add to the menu a minimum shutter speed setting when in "auto ISO". I use this mostly in "P" mode. I also would like more functionality to the "in camera" editing of jpegs and raw files which would give the wireless transfer more meaning and use. I especially use the the ability to lighten and darken shots as well as white balance adjustments in post in-camera processing. The cameras computer can easily handle these processes on a single picture basis and renders the outcome quickly and I can then send the shot to my phone for distribution to friends like the phone camera. My Nikons give me all of the above abilities.
