Was just about to buy into the current 600 system but am a little spooked about what might be coming in a few months.

i am accepting leaked compatibility details via PM if anyone wants to help a brother out. :D

I have the same unease, but I just decided to go for a second unit now. For one, the price is right and it's already a good enough unit for me, second, if the new unit is incompatible in some way, at least I'll have a backup to keep my first unit company.

Ultimately I need this to be capable of 1200w/s and don't have the cash, or immediate need to plop down the cash for the whole set up right now.

No PMs yet. ;)

That coffee-dispenser news is welcome, and it can only improve.....hoping Godox is tackling all the shortcomings in the AD600 without loosing backwards-compatible to the existing AD600 accessories.

Shortcomings:

- posing light
- in-mature s-fit (Bowens)
- rattling handle which is not very controllable
.
.
.

Move the umbrella shaft mount closer to center
Faster recycle time (would need new battery)
1200 w/s model

Lower price
Swarovski crystals on case
Unicorn on unicycle

I believe it means WITHOUT Swarovski crystals on case and WITHOUT Unicorn on unicycle.

Best explanation I've heard. Maybe there's a "WITHSTRO" in the works. I can dream.

Seriously, it's probably more along the lines of "Cool-sounding marketing names in one language just leave foreigners scratching their heads."

I have an almost brand new XPLOR600 that I haven't used (bought 2 of them). Maybe I should sell it and buy the new ones. But then I already spent enough money on gear this yr.

Regarding low light power and WB issues, I mostly shoot f2, outdoors and haven't noticed anything. Examples:

Most probably my 37' SP Systems octobox which is like Elinchrom deep octa. If not then must be medium photoflex softbox.

Ok “Release the Hounds” Adorama has the TTL version discounted $200. Other additional savings might be applicable.

OMG. Why am I getting deja vu? Please, just stop. Do not buy any more products from Adorama if it's going to upset you so much.

How many times, on how many forums in how many threads do I need to respond to you?

so why do you think Godox still can't fix the issue in almost a year, while Jinbei tried to do something in 1-2 month = https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=18502079

Been waiting a long time for it to go on sale again!
Looks like there is a problem with the pricing adding it to cart for some reason. The XPLOR added in correctly but the additional items I chose to add for bundled savings aren't showing the correct savings. Contacted support, hopefully they can help.

Why don't you just contact Godox directly?
