Thanks guys! I like how the cheapest option was recommended. So far I'm thinking 16-35 f4 IS, 24-70 f2.8 II, and maybe the sigma 85mm Art down the road. I'm going to need something for thanksgiving, I've been asked to take pictures. Which one should I get first? By the responses so far its probably going to be the 16-35.

I was trying to take a picture of a flock of small birds. I kept the background in focus perfectly the entire time. Which auto-focus mode would you suggest for BIF and flocks of small birds?

I'm with them ^. Buy it! You wont regret it. Insanely good lens, especially for the price.

16-35 for the win! go for it! I actually prettymuch quit using my 24-105 unless I absolutely need that 40-100mm FL.

The colors/contrast/bokeh/sharpness are awesome!

7thed :)

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

What are you, the dog whisperer? How did you get them to sit still like that? Great shots!

Hahaha, no - that’d be my wife. They don’t pay much attention to me. Thank goodness for a fast shutter, those poses don’t last long!

First try with the 100-400 IS II and 1.4 III. I need to use a higher shutter speed and smaller aperture next time.

Used it the entire day because of very heavy winds with blowing sand and changed to the Sigma 24 Art for the next morning (in room) I'm thinking about selling the Zeiss 85 because I don't used it that much and the 70-200 will take up the slack.

I ended up in the same place at one time. Still there with another one. I have the zeiss 135 and love it, but I don't use it that often.
