Have y'all heard about bokehmarket.com? It lets you track user camera gear values over time. It could be a time saver when buying or selling your gear and you want to check out the most recent pricing. It's in beta but it looks promising. Only one Batis lens came up in the search and no Loxia lenses yet.

US sales only by the looks of things so no use for me but I wonder where they get the data from?

I was thinking about pixel shift as an averaging tool, how would it work?

for instance, if I decide to use pixel shift instead of Smooth reflections, I can reduce work by a good amount, and get by. For instance, since pixel shift is reportedly slow, I can use 8 sets of pixel shift in favor of a 32 image SR. In practice, this should be a lot less stacking and averaging on the part of adobe. Averaging 8 images is a lot less intensive than 32!

In combination with ND's, I usually dont need a whole lot of SR actuations, but 16-32 seems pretty typical for my use.

just something to throw out there, and of course, you get the added benefit of fine detail with pixel shift!

Just concerned on how it would handle cloud/water movement.

I think the pixel shifting is to overcome the limitations of the bayer filter and increases sharpness and natural color and eliminates moire. The Sony video explains it better than I can.

You can get sales data from ebay. Funny thing is those who took my camera store survey, one of my ideas was to build a database like this to come up with a fair market value for used gear.

Eddie, it's coming to the UK soon according to the site creators. I think they aggregate the data from various sources like ebay, BH, Adorama, maybe FredMiranda, etc.

For me I am not convinced I need to upgrade...... I think another year to year and a half will produce a totally new sensor not a modified 2.5 year old sensor. If I did not have the 7rII already though this would get my GAS

All super nice! The hummer is top drawer! I need to go to the raptor center near Tuscon. I read they have a Barn Owl. Since they are disappearing that might be my only chance of ever seeing one.

I think AZ has a decent population of Barn Owls.... The Sonoran desert museum also has a Barn owl exhibit they are just outside of Tucson

That my process at the moment. Check previous sales on ebay then set a fair price so that it sells. Not working with my Batis 85 though which doesnt seem to be shifting.

Eriet well thought out. But for some of us a year and a half and well we just might not be here.
That said I'm still not salivating and this past weekend again enjoyed Smooth Reflections.

After a trip to the mall and a quick visit to the Apple Store, I’m suddenly interested in the DJI Osmo for my iPhone X. Looks pretty neat, it’ll allow me to utilize my 256GB storage and a quick check online shows it being $299 new but $159 in DJI’s refurb site. Anyone else use this or a similar phone gimbal?

I've had the Osmo Mobile for a while, but sold it in favor of Sony FDR-X3000. Although I liked the footage from iPhone 6 plus (when taken during daytime), it was just an extra step to connect the phone to the gimbal.. and having too much accessories (extra battery, connectors, tripod, etc..) required another carrying case to have with me. It was good for what it was supposed to do but I just didn't like the hassle of having too much stuff with me. And speaking of simpleness, I really like the FDR-X3000. It is very similar to GoPro and you just don't need to mess with it much.

Now that I have the iPhone X with its massive storage and 4K recording capabilities... I'm not sure where I'm going next yet.. lol

LOL if I was a betting man I'd guess you'll get the a7RII. You're the only person I know who has the 1DXII, a99ii, and a9 (as well as many other cameras I don't know about.)
