Back at $79. $20 more, still worth it.

Got myself one! Great deal for just the ink alone. My wife will use this for her work. Ill still use mine for various things, mostly for printing wood working templates and instructions.

OMG, $60.00!

I am not going to bite, not this time, but $60.00 is way less than the ink that comes with it.

what is the probability of being able to check this through as luggage in an airport or even being able to take it as a carry on?
I live overseas and the price is over 600 dollars new where im at.

Checking as baggage - probably ok (box weights 48 pounds)

Carry on - doubtful (even if your on a First Class ticket the box won’t fit in the overhead or under your seat)

You also may want to check the MIR restrictions to be sure that Canon will mail the rebate outside the USA. Of course another option would be to have domestic friends or family relieve the rebate for you.

Why not, if you don't have the printer already.

yep, i was just planning on mailing it to my relatives in the states and they can handle the rebate. Then the next time I go back for a visit I can bring it back with me. No hurry.

What is the typical lead time for the rebate?

I just got my rebate today...2 weeks after putting it in the mail.
Not bad at all.
