Chris and Dalibort seemed to have shot wide open on these. This would give the shallow depth of field. This is from their choice in lenses not PS

We can't see the details for Chris but Dalibort is actually stopped down a little at f/1.6 ... presumably to increase depth of field a little over what it would have been at f/1.2 (I don't think stopping down will have improved centre sharpness noticeably and edge sharpness is irrelevant in this shot).

No blur added in post. That's what the 85LII looks like when shot at 1.2.

Thought I'd go a little more corporate looking for this one.

What is the difference between a headshot and a portrait? I think there are a lot of portraits posted in this thread.

All headshots are portraits, but not all portraits are headshots.

Head shots are usually shoulders and up. Some may say neck and up...

Portraits can be 3/4 and even full body shots.

It was a rhetorical question, I've noticed this thread has gone off course. I've also seen people posting the same image on any thread vaguely associated with the subject matter. I think it just adds to the clutter.

Is image posting on POTN creating clutter? -?

There are several posters who routinely post the same new image across a number of threads ... headshots; children, watch them grow; 135L f/2 image samples; prime lens portraits; best bokeh, etc., etc. I usually spot the duplication and manage not to waste time and expensive download capacity on viewing them multiple times.

I think it's clutter. But I understand why posters do this, especially when the core usage of POTN for them is as a channel to promote their photography. It doesn't bother me all that much ... although I'd rather people didn't do it.
