Nov 22, 2017 14:26 | #3995 Amazingly good Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

I'm an Ansel Adams fan and dabbled using his methods back in the film days. I was looking for a way to get my B&W shots to look more punchy and bring more detail out and stumbled into this. I'm an Ansel Adams fan and dabbled using his methods back in the film days. I was looking for a way to get my B&W shots to look more punchy and bring more detail out and stumbled into this. I first convert my shot to an HDR using Photomatix Pro. I try tp pick out a conversion that will best suit an image. I then get it to the size I want and use this software. I have been using it for over 10 years and there are a lot more options out there these days. It is for PS only and there wasn't much out there back then. http://www.powerretouche.com/black-white_studio.htm I used my process in this image. Gave the rocks a eel skin look. I often can't reproduce the image the same way because I don't record what I did which makes it more interesting. https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=18497706 Ah.... that explains it Canon EOS 5DSR | Zeiss Distagon 21mm f2.8 | Zeiss 50mm MP f2 Makro-Planar | Zeiss Planar 85mm f1.4 | Zeiss 100mm MP f2 Makro-Planar | Canon 200mm f2.8L II | Canon EF 135mm f2.0L | 580EX II |

Many thanks for responding. Yeah it has the colour filters, different film types and you can adjust highlights, shadows, black depth, etc. I will play around with all of that for each B&W. There has not been a lot of change with those products and I had to sneak it into PS CC because there is no installer. When I re-installed PS CC I had to sneak it in again. Image Editing OK
