Annoyed that the seller didn’t ship insured, which means it didn’t require a signature release. But, no actual harm done and I’m relieved to have the superb Batis 85mm back in my Ruggard dry box. Looking forward to shooting it in concert with the FE 35 1.4 and Batis 135. It’s a nice portable native prime “trinity”. ![]() That’s a shame. I ship everything insured for the full with insurance, it may cost a little more, but that’s the cost of doing business. Even when shipping an a9 insured, it was like $75i think, but worth it for the piece of mind. I believe the usps attendant told me that anything under $500 insured doesn’t require a signature. I think it still has a place though if only for Sun stars. I gotta say, the flare resistance is much better on any 16-35, however, the extreme angles that the 12-24 provides = magic. It's very sharp and clean, hard to believe sony made such a great lens that's small and light. MedicineMan4040 The Magic Johnson of Cameras More info | I've shipped a ton of stuff over the last several months, all fully insured and I go with FedEx which is a penalty itself financially but of all the items I shipped nothing was lost or damaged and several recipients told me that it was packed better then many things they've recently received from B/H or Adorama. Piece of mind and no hassles is worth a lot when selling items I think. flickr

When we think about the last slew of FE lenses they are all home runs. Jury still out on the 24-105 and I realize it is a compromise from the get-go with that big of a range but my gut says Sony will again deliver the goods. flickr

Ah, that’s a bummer. Understandable though. I have a friend in the KC area (metro over 2 million population), but he’s just enough on the metro outskirts that he has total crap for Internet. It’s crazy because most of the KC area was first to get Google fiber years ago. David | Flickr
