Sony Lounge Thread MKIII (All Sony cameras welcome)

If I hadn't switched to A-mount, I would really be tempted to buy and adapt the Nikon 105 f1. 4.

That said, the 135ZA is pretty fantastic on the a99ii.

I geek out about clouds, especially clouds that I don't see very often...in this case two Lenticular formations, one tighter than the other but both still pretty loose...one day I will get to see a really clean one. Probably lose my mind when I do.

This one will be in a series of ether 3 that I want to do on Lumachrome behind acrylic, details and textures. The FE 90 is really a cool and fun lens to play with.

thank you, and yes, I will get them from NAP, I have been wanting to work with them for a while, and this seems like a good way to start. I need something new on my wall over my desk...

So, what do you guys do avout the cycling times of LED lights...I couldn't get an image that didnt have light and darks spots, it was rolling down the screen ...

Longer shutter speed.

Yes its a gorgeous space. I really feel I couldn't do it justice with a 35MM. I'd like to revisit the space one day but probably wont have as much leeway as I did that day since I shot a ceremony there.

You must have just hit that sweet spot on shutter speed. This video shows a pretty extensive test of the a9 and banding, and it does pretty well.

I tried electronic and mechanical...EFCS is off.

I found this bee buzzing around in our house today. I gently persuaded it with some honey and positioned him on this flower. He was such a good subject. After getting some shots, I put him back outside where he flew off with a full belly.

Got a question for everyone: Do I really need to use lens caps? At home my lenses are protected and stored in a Ruggard Dry Cabinet (the small one). And when I'm out shooting the lenses are either on my camera or in one of my two TT Urban Approach bags.

I got to thinking about this out of a concern that the caps may cause more trouble than they avoid. And sometimes I feel the lens cap can actually cause some damage to the lens itself. Sometimes, I'll discover that a lens cap had popped off while in my bag. That means it had been rattling around on top of the glass while I am walking around. Can't be good. Also, caps add additional hindrances when making lens changes. Fumbling with the caps can slow down the lens change potentially exposing the sensor to more dust. Furthermore, being distracted by lens caps during a lens change can create a situation where there is an increased probability of an expensive accident, like dropping the lens.

All this has me thinking about yanking all my caps off and putting them in storage. What do you think? Crazy idea?
