Hard to pick a fav prime for the fact that I love them all for the different reasons I need them but in terms of most used it's easily the sigma 50 art just a fantastic gerneral purpose day to day lens along with the top notch iq

I would too if I had one.

Get one?

They are certainly not cheap, but used they are a bit less silly. If I can have one on my income (I don't even qualify for income tax!) then it can be done if you really want one.;-)a

It can be done.... but it would take me around 3 years to save up for a used one.... I'll be 67 then.... I'm not sure I'd be able to hand hold one by that time. I use a monopod now so that might be an option.

Haven't you got a kidney lying around that you don't need?

You are right about the weight, I am somewhat younger, but I can see that it will become an issue in the future.

What about saving for a Canon 500 F4 Mk2 - sweet lens!

At the moment, both of my kidneys reside within my body. They are both in excellent shape, thankfully.

My favorite/most used is the 50L; however, I am really starting to like the 35 F2 a lot.

Whatever gets the job done :p

seriously

My most used prime last year and several years in the past was the 135L

I got the sigma 85 art this year and the 24-7011 and they have rarely been off the camera

My 85 art is one of the best lens I own. Very happy with it

When Im shooting wildlife the 300 F/2.8 never leaves the camera

Never realized the 35 f2 IS had so much hype. I went out on a whim and purchased mine about a week ago, and I can easily say this will probably be mounted more than any of my others! Love it and the results it provides.

I'm really surprised at all the responses about the 35mm f2 IS. Anyway could compare against Sigma 35 art?
