I like those sort of birds too, taste review on untapped?

I don't think I know enough to give an authoritative opinion, but it's all very nice beer. There's also a fourth, Barn Owl, but our supermarket didn't have any of that in stock.

A lovely Nuthatch at my local wood in Somerset.
The light was not so wonderful so these were taken at a low speed, rather than push the ISO too high.

My wife and I spent Thanksgiving in Galveston. It was cold and windy for a couple of days, but then some good birding weather.

This Double-Crested Cormorant was sunning himself. He was close, I had to back up to fit him in the viewfinder.

This Long-billed Dowitcher was feeding in shallow water, near 8 Mile Road.

^ That's a great cormorant shot! Hard to get those glossy blacks right, but looks like the light was good and he was cooperative. I've never had luck with either up here in Oregon.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

And still one of my all time favorite Bald Eagle shots. Taken way, way, way outside of Grand Teton NP, past Slide Lake.
