[Tongue somewhat in cheek] Canon engineers, at the request of Canon Marketing, are designing in some reasons for buyers to upgrade to more expensive body designs

Actually, a tongue is not needed in cheek when speaking truth.

I have noticed that many different businesses in sectors related to and not related to photography suffer from the same disease: marketingitis. The marketing departments of many business now tell the programmers, engineers, product designers, etc. what to do.

Steve Novakovich;
I hear ya'. But 'come on, you didn't really expect the designers and engineers to actually put a ream of paper in the printer and test it before going to market, did you? Sheesh! (wink, wink)

2. Manfrotto Q.R is deposited in trash receptacle

3. Arca compatible Q.R. is installed on tripod head
