Thanks! I find kites (the white-tailed variety where I live) to be one of the most interesting raptors to observe despite their relatively small size. The way they hover and then dive on their prey is endlessly fascinating to watch and fun to try to photograph as well.

I've never seen one, hopefully one day. We get the snail kites here, along with the swallow tail kites. I see a lot of osprey hover like that and then dive for the fish. Take care.

Walter, I believe your female is a juvenile male. If you look very closely it appears there are feathers under the neck on the gorget which have turned. Nice capture.
