I'll be in Toronto for about a week in December of 2017 and in Montreal in April of 2018. Any suggestions on the best vantage points in those cities?

I have only been to Toronto for a couple of days, but the CN Tower springs to mind for 360-degree aerial views of the city. Also, the Toronto Island is good for panoramic shots of the city from the ground (lake)-level.

View from the CN Tower; this was shot handheld, so rather poor quality, but you get the idea:

In addition to Toronto Island and CN Tower you get good views of skyline from Broadview Ave.(south of Bloor St)
