I remember one December I said I wasn’t going to buy any lenses the following year. I ended up buying a TSE 24 II for the second time on the 10th January. It was downhill from there

LOL I remember you saying that actually

Last time I let GAS dictate my life, I swear!!!! :-P

on the brighter side, I did avoid the TV's and PC's and gadgets. My spending was relatively tame, bought a toothbrush, chromecast, a wok, and some accessories for the R3. That's about as tame as it gets

hehe i was debating to get a new pc too but with recent spendings I need to put it aside. What will bring it up again will be working on the larger file size. I find my computer to be slow when working with the a7r2 files. hope it wont be too much of a problem because I dont want to spend :P

LOL my kit is pretty well fleshed out so I'm hoping to not spend anything big next year.

No interest in the a9r. A7riii is the camera I always wanted.

Upgraded from DXO Optics Pro 11 to DXO PhotoLab tonight. Well worth the $69 imo. DXO has taken a long time to get to a really usable application, but they finally got there with PhotoLab. The implementation of a fairly rich set of local adjustments is the difference.

The incorporation of U-point technology, acquired from NIK Tools, functionally turns PhotoLab into NIK Viveza. Very Nice!

Another thing that impressed me with PhotoLab is the initial automatic processing. It's similar to Capture One in that it creates an immediate good first impression and a very useful starting point for refining. Very much looking forward to making a lot more use of the software in the coming days. Still have much to learn.

They have a free 30 day full version trial that I'm going to download and play with tonight.

I'm still waiting on that rumoured Sigma FE 35mm.......

But, in all fairness, the little FE35/2.8 is growing on me quite a lot recently :)

The third shot is hand-held, somehow.

The size of the 2.8 is appealing however I have a thing for fast primes :)
