Following another redwood wedding. The groom was fascinated by burned-out hollow trunks. One of several they entered.

Another photo from Redwood National Park, from an unusually warm 80 degree May 1st ... normal temp is closer to 50 degrees that time of year.

Just ordered a 20 x 30 canvas of this scene for our home office.

It's part of Rockefeller grove in Humboldt Redwoods State Park

Great photos!

Thank you. Hoping to return in the next couple days. Still trying to decide between Humboldt Redwoods State Park or Redwood National Park area. May split it 50 / 50

Thank you. Some are remote, and other's in view. The one above for example, was taken from near a trail. This photo below is a carnivorous plant in the region, Cobra Lily.

Found an old burl cut. Probably a theft from around 1960 to 1970. Similar size cut to nearby more recent thefts around Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. The more recent thief was caught and sentenced, a man from Orick, CA

Just got back from Humbolt Redwoods. This is an iPhone pano. I started with the phone vertical and ended up pointing straight up.

Often, it's about 150 ft. to the first branches. Trees in that grove are near 300 ft. or more.

This one is north in Jedediah Smith. Showing about 100 ft. of it's 330 ft.
