I recently purchased a used Canon 24-70 f/2.8L II lens and was thinking of sending this lens into Canon for their 11-point EF lens maintenance service for no other reason than to make sure it is clean and working properly. I have no reason to believe it is not as the test photos have been sharp.

I was curious if anyone here has ever sent this particular lens or any other EF lenses into Canon for this and what their experiences were. Curious to hear good, bad, and whether or not you felt it was worth it. It's a $59 service I believe plus shipping, but I don't know what the typical turnaround time is to receive the lens back. Any input is appreciated!

Tested my skills for some astrophotography up in Wisconsin this weekend. Wetried to spot some meteors during the Orionid Meteor shower from our campsite - saw a couple shooting starts, but nothing on camera. Still fun! Surprised how well the 24-70 did picking up the scene - gunna have to try this again.
